There is lovely stuff happening in the gardens here-my blog is going to be loaded with photographs for a bit!  Which, by the way, is beyond fun and satisfying for me.  I get to do something I love, making photographs of something I love-the living, growing things in the garden, and sharing it with you-yes, another thing I love.  Nothing but good all the way around....

The Trillium is patch is less then robust this year...not certain why, but time will tell.

The May Apples are doing their thing-funky green umbrellas all over the garden.  May Apples do very well in our soil here-easy to cultivate a  nice patch....the Solomon's Seal is beginning to poke up-varigated this week. They like it here too. The very dramatic looking Giant Solomon's Seal has not appeared yet-they come a bit later in the spring. Along with my childhood favorite, Jack in the Pulpit.

There is something interesting that my neighbor gave me-green leaves so far, and little yellow flowers to follow. Perhaps someone can help me identify my little friend???  I suppose I could get a book out and look it up too.....

I do believe that the Shooting Star will make an appearance this spring-I have captured a couple tiny leaves with my camera-patiently watching to see what happens.

The ferns are unrolling themselves.  Ferns of most any variety love the dirt here.  We have no difficulty growing them in big green patches...I love how they look when they curl up out of the ground....

So yes, I have been joy walking with my camera all over the place.  Camera and I head out in the early morning and we say goodnight to the day together as well.  There is no better time to live in Wisconsin than in spring, and I am enjoying every allergy free bit of it...been photographing the tulip blooms, and the spring landscape as it changes and becomes green.  I'll be sharing this work very soon.
Trillium flower-turns almost a pale magenta as the bloom matures...
Varigated Solomon's Seal-Grows to about 18" tall.  A favorite. Love how it's leaves make for a contrast in the garden.
Solomon's Seal and May Apples-some Hepatica too...
The goofy thing about May Apples, is that the little white flowers are under the green umbrellas-hard to spot unless you are looking for them.
Miss Shooting Star....we are on the watch-massive excitement:)
The ferns unfurling....kind of surreal looking to me....before long you won't be able to see the ground, the fronds will be so full and lush...
Little No Name....a lovely plant, delicate-very lady like....
